Happy Monday, ladies!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and that you’re staying safe if you’re in Irma’s path!

This week’s #mvm is a great reminder that God is the center of our everything. And even when we feel like a failure, we can take hope in the fact that God’s right there with us.

Psalm 73:26 says:

“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
He is mine forever.”

“In Sickness And In Health…”

You hear it at almost every wedding, huh? The bride and groom promise each other to stick together when the going gets tough- when the puke hits the fan.

The great thing about this promise is that as much as we can rely on our spouse to be there for us, God is there even more! He’s seen us through the good, the bad and the ugly and He’s held us in His arms during our heartbreaks. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a beautiful reminder.

How Can We Apply This To Our Marriages?

Well, sometimes things are easier said than done, right? Of course, we know that God is there for us through the thick and then, but do we actually believe it?

We want to be there for our spouses 100% of the time but we drop the ball. So, how can we jump back in when we feel like a failure?

First off, remember that marriages have ups and downs. It’s life and that’s okay- but we have someone who keeps us strong through all of the struggles we face. There isn’t a cap on what God can do. Through all our sicknesses, we are found in the one who can carry it all.

Secondly, know that through God there is grace and forgiveness. So yeah, we may drop the ball but we will find freedom in asking for forgiveness- oh, and sometimes we need to forgive ourselves.

Run to God this week with all of your hurt and struggles. He’ll strengthen you and He will be there to guide you.

This week I’m giving to God:

  1. My hurt from an argument with a friend.
  2. My desire to control things that are out of my control.

Hope you all have a great rest of your week! What are you giving to God this week?

Give your hubs a smooch!
