His Word Holds True

Guys, we’re moving next weekend and I’m NOT looking forward to it. It’s so stressful! I feel like every time something big comes up, my first reaction is to drop everything and freak out. Sure, my first reaction should be to pray and ask God for guidance but that doesn’t always happen.

It’s times like these when I need to stop what I am doing and go to God. I have to constantly remind myself that He is good and that I can trust him… Anyone else there today? Time after time, God has worked wonders in my life and yet, for some reason, I STILL forget that He is good.

We can trust Him. When God says He will provide, believe it! As much as I enjoy worrying, (insert sarcastic eye-roll here) my life would be so much easier if I just decided to turn to God first. It’s easier said than done, don’t ya think? If you’re like me, you have your “way” of processing things. Here’s what mine looks like:

  • Freak out
  • Call a friend
  • Talk things out
  • Worry
  • Lose sleep at night

Rinse and repeat. Oh! Then you realize you should take this to God and then you kick yourself for not doing that sooner. Remember, His word holds true. I’m not sure if you’ve been there, but this is the real me.

Ask and Receive.

Mark 11:24 says:

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

It will be mine! Duh, Emily. Ask and you shall receive, right? So, today, I am praying for peace for the next two weeks. That our move goes smoothly and that my back pain subsides by the time I need to lift heavy boxes.

What are you praying for this week?

Give your hubs a smooch and enjoy staring at the sun!
